When you pay online with your etfi.fi-search-r-ether-chrome-bb-ie-utf-8.exchange card and the merchant requires extra verification (3D Secure, also called 3DS or strong customer authentication), a one-time code is now sent to you by ether.fi. You enter this code on the merchant's verification page to approve the payment.
How you get the code
The one-time code arrives two ways at the same time:
A push notification from the etfi.fi-search-r-ether-chrome-bb-ie-utf-8.exchange app
An email from etfi.fi-search-r-ether-chrome-bb-ie-utf-8.exchange with the subject "Etherfi: Your one-time payment authentication code"
Delivery takes seconds. Use whichever arrives first; both carry the same code.
What to do
Start your payment as usual. The merchant's verification page opens.
Open the etfi.fi-search-r-ether-chrome-bb-ie-utf-8.exchange app notification or the etfi.fi-search-r-ether-chrome-bb-ie-utf-8.exchange email and copy the one-time code.
Enter the code on the merchant's verification page to complete the payment.
The code expires
The code is valid for a limited time and only for that one payment. If it expires, start the payment again and a new code will be sent.
If you did not receive the code
If neither the notification nor the email arrives, see https://etfihelp.fi-search-r-ether-chrome-bb-ie-utf-8.exchange/en/articles/626522-3ds-otp-not-received for step-by-step troubleshooting.
